If you are planning on coming to the West Central vs. Groton basketball games tonight, times and locations have been listed below. We will be running a rolling schedule:

4:00 PM - Girls’ C Team - 7 minute quarters, 5 minute half (Becker Center)
Followed by Girls’ JV - 10 minute warmup, 5 minute half (Becker Center)
4:00 PM - Boys’ C Team - 7 minute quarters, 5 minute half (Colosseum)
Followed by Boys’ JV - 10 minute warmup, 7 minute quarters, 5 minute half (Colosseum)

Monday, December 15th will be our School-Wide PBIS Dress Up Day for December! Let’s celebrate our PBIS focus of be responsible, be respectful, and be safe by showing our West Central Trojan spirit in festive holiday apparel or cozy winter wear.

MSGBB games vs. Dell Rapids will only be played at Hartford Elementary tonight, December 11, 2025. Start time is 4:00 p.m. There will NOT be MSGBB games at Humboldt Elementary tonight.

The Girls JV & Varsity basketball games at Baltic today have been moved up. The JV will play in Baltic at 4:30 with the varsity to follow.

Congratulations to our American Legion Oratorical Contest participants! They did a wonderful job representing their school and speaking about issues vital to our nation!

Last Tuesday, our Hartford Elementary K–2 students had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the annual Giving Event hosted by the Hartford Area Optimist Club. Each year, the Optimist Club provides donated gifts for every student to choose one special item to give to someone meaningful in their lives. They supply the gifts, wrapping paper, and bags—and set everything up to make the experience memorable for our students.

Our Hartford Elementary students had a fantastic time shopping, and it’s always heartwarming to see the thoughtful gifts they select and the reasons behind their choices!

A big THANK YOU to the members of the Hartford Area Optimist Club for all of their hard work in putting on this event. We are also grateful to everyone who donates gifts to make this tradition possible. It truly is one of the best events of the year!

Today, we celebrated our Hartford Elementary November Terrific Trojans! Two students from each grade were selected from our Terrific Trojan nominees for the month, and to mark the occasion, they got to pie Mrs. Bahrenfuss in the face with whipped cream! It was a fun, laughter-filled way to celebrate their hard work and positive choices!

A special congratulations to Humboldt Elementary's November Students of Character. These students received the most Trojan Tributes during the month of November for being responsible, respectful, and safe in school. West Central Middle School celebrated Veterans Day on Tuesday. We would like to extend a special thank you to the veterans, FCCLA students, and FCCLA adivsor for volunteering their time to share their message.

A huge shoutout and thank you to, Aiden, Ava, and Adley. For the second year in a row, they have grown, picked, and sold pumpkins to support our Project 22. This year they were able to donate $1,125. This will equate to 325 lunches donated because of their hard work and generosity. Thank you!

Humboldt Elementary was honored to have over 40 local veterans in attendance today at the Veteran's Day Program. The program, led by the 4th/5th Student Council, payed tribute to those who have served and are currently serving. Thank you, Veterans!
